The Ways of the Ten

In Halidar: The Last Surveyor, Vik recites a poem to help Tanner remember the districts of Congress. Each district is named for one of the ten deities. What else should I know about the Pantheon of Halidar? -JM
The blue of Thall’s oceans and Kyprie’s green land-
Elieth’s skills and Memm’s guiding hand
The sight of Areza and Sarn’s growing fields-
Zama for death while Senna does heal
Brihl knows your heart and the first god comes last-
Through Congress’ broad streets all kings and queens pass
-Halidar: The Last Surveyor
Yes, there are ten gods in Halidar's pantheon. They are worshipped on nearly a universal scale. So much so, that there are no true 'competing' religious philosophies. In order of adherents (worshippers) across the kingdom, here are the ten and their specific responsibilities:

Sarn - Harvest, Beer, and Wine
Kyprie - Wilds, Animals, and the Hunt
Elieth - Crafts and Metalworking
Senna - Knowledge, History, and Healing
Memm - Wisdom, Philosophy, and Council
Areza - Prophecy and Fate
Brihl - Childhood, Love, and Passion
Thall - The Sea, Rivers, and Weather
Zama - Death, Destruction, and the Afterlife
Nameless God (aka The Nameless One) - Foundations of the world and Chaos

Citizens tend to worship at one of the ten churches, often pre-ordained by the village in which you were born, as most smaller communities have only one church to their name. In the county seats, larger towns, and cities, one may select from any of the ten for regular worship, but go to a Brihl church when it comes time for matchmaking and marriages. Likewise a family might choose to have a funeral among the black clergy of Zama.

As a final note, when you are out and about and someone calls "Areza's Fortune", they're wishing you good luck. Upon your marriage, you'll certainly be wished "the Blessings of Brihl". On the other hand, if you've been accused of "Binging Sarn's Bounty", you might want to take it easy around the punch bowl at your next party.
